This school offers a combination Phlebotomy and EKG Tech program for students interested in this type of entry-level medical position. The course prepares students for a future career in the field of either Phlebotomy or as a certified EKG technician.

Both positions are vital to the medical industry and offer the opportunity to move up to bigger and better career options. This course lasts for 4 weeks and takes 200 hours to complete. Upon completion of the program, students can choose to take part in a non-mandatory internship which will help them gain additional experience and training.

This internship is offered at local clinics, doctor’s offices, hospitals and laboratories. Throughout training, students will learn the basic skills that are needed in order to become a certified Phlebotomy technician. They will lean to draw blood correctly and how to handle various types of samples safely.

They will also acquire additional skills needed to work inside a medical facility such as front office responsibilities, how to download and print lab results, and how to input information into a computer data base.
