The Phlebotomy Technician Program offered at this facility trains students to become certified techs who are eligible to work in a hospital, medical office, private practice or a home health agency. Students who take part in this program will gain the knowledge and understanding that is needed to be a crucial part of a medical team.
They will be taught basic procedures such as how to correctly perform a venipuncture, how to assemble equipment for procedures, verifying records, labeling specimens and analyzing data results. Students interested in taking this course have a variety of scheduling options. They can either take classes during the daytime, evening, or on the weekend. Courses are four weeks long and classes begin several times throughout the year.
Daytime classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays while evening classes are held from Monday through Thursday. For busy students, weekend classes are held on Saturday and Sunday.
