Oregon Medical Training, Inc

This private career school offers a Basic Phlebotomy Technician Course that is designed to provide individuals with the skills needed to perform venipunctures in a medical setting. Students will receive instruction on Anatomy & Physiology, Regulatory and Ethical Issues, Safety and Infection Control, and how to use various types of blood collection equipment.

This program will prepare students for an entry-level career as a phlebotomist or lab assistant. It will also provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to complete their national certification exam. While a certification is not required to practice Phlebotomy in the state of Oregon, it is still highly recommended that all participants in the program take the exam as many employers are more likely to hire certified phlebotomists for their open positions. Classes are held on each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Tuition for this program is $1,650 and does not include the $150 fee for textbooks or the $100 registration fee, which is non-refundable. Payment plans are available.
